Moz: frequently asked questions
What is Domain Authority in Moz?
Domain Authority (DA) is a Moz score from 1 to 100 that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search results compared with other sites. It is based on the site's link profile and works best as a comparison against competitors rather than an absolute target. Google does not use it.
What does the Moz Spam Score mean?
Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features that Moz has found to be penalised or banned by Google. A high score does not mean a site is spam, only that it shares traits with sites that were, so treat it as a prompt for a manual review.
Who is Moz Pro best suited for?
Moz Pro suits in-house marketers, small agencies and site owners who want reliable keyword, link and audit data presented in an approachable way. Its metrics, especially Domain Authority, are also widely used in link building and digital PR to qualify websites.
